Vampire Weekend Brigitta bought an album last week by a band called Vampire Weekend. It makes me feel like I'm in a Wes Anderson movie. I can't stop listening.

Mario Kart for Wii Mario Kart Wii came out last week and its tied with Guitar Hero for best Wii game so far.

The Good: You can play online against friends or strangers around the world. There are several options for steering - you can either user the wiimote+nunchuck, the steering wheel, or your old game cube controller. For fans of the previous versions on Gamecube, N64, and DS, the old games are on there as well. Also, lots of new characters, courses, and carts have been added, with the ability to unlock and race with you own Mii. I still haven't done that yet.

The Bad: They pretty much ruined Battle Mode by taking away the 'last man standing' aspect. You are placed on one of two teams, and can either battle while trying to pick up coins or by popping each others balloons. The balloon option is in line with old version of the game, except when you lose all three balloons, you come right back into the match with three more. So, why not give me a hundred balloons, or zero? The other annoying thing is that only the first player is playing as their self. The second person is playing as 'guest' and receives no points. As you can guess, this causes domestic disputes.
